Fostering: A Great Alternative for the Transient Foreigner.

All of our animals have come a long way. Some of them were rescued because of extreme sickness, some of them were abused, and some of them were just lucky enough to cross our path.

All of them are de-wormed, de-sexed, vaccinated and free of parasites such as fleas, ticks or mange.

In order to just spay or neuter the animals, and have them vaccinated, the average pet owner would have to pay anywhere from $NT 2,000 to NT$3,000. We ask for NT$2000 donation for all adopted animals we adopt out to help us recover the expenses related to de-sexing and vaccinating the animals, and we throw in a free microchip.

In other words, it's cheaper to adopt one of our animals than it is to rescue an animal from the street yourself. And it's a lot easier. Of course we think that rescuing an animal is better than adopting an animal, but not everyone is experienced or confident enough to do that. That's understandable, and adopting instead is a great middle ground, and it's just as helpful. It frees space at our foster center, it increases our resources, and from there we can just rescue another animal, and so on...

If you have any problems with the animal within the first ten days after you adopted him/her, (Health problems, training problems, etc.) we can make arrangements or you can just return the animal to us and we will reimburse the adoption fee in full.

You are also encourage you to just bring an animal home for a week as a trial period to be in a better position to decide if you want to adopt one of our animals. This is to assure that both the adopters and the animals are a good match.

We strive to find the perfect homes for our animals, and to provide adopters with animals well suited for their lifestyles and expectations.

Feel free to contact us anytime if you are interested in having one of our furry friend bring life into your home.

Fostering: A Great Alternative for the Transient Foreigner

Hi all,

I don't know how many times I hear foreigners say "I would like to have a pet, but I don't know how long I will be in Taiwan for." Fair enough. Adopting a pet is a serious responsibility, and one that many transient foreigners can not assume. Especially those who actually plan to go traveling to several countries when they depart Taiwan.

Having a pet has many advantages. For one they are great company. They also bring life to our homes and hours of entertainment. It's also proven that medically speaking, pets are good for our health. They help regulate our blood pressure among other things.

Not to mention that pets, especially dogs do have a few lessons to teach us in terms of loyalty and in terms friendships.

The good news is you do not have to take long term responsibility for an animal if you plan to travel, if you plan to leave Taiwan, or if you simply aren't sure that you are ready for commitment. There is a great alternative, and that is to foster a pet instead.

By fostering an animal, you not only get all the benefits that come with having a pet, but you also reap the reward that is to help another living being in need.

Fostering is also a great way to find out if having a pet is something you would enjoy for those of you who never had a pet before. If at any point in time you do not wish to foster an animal any longer, you simply give us a call and we will come and pick up our friend at your house, no questions asked.

Oh and of course, fostering is a lot cheaper than actually adopting a dog because we assume responsibility for the animal's health the whole time, and we supply you with free dog food and all the other necessary things such as food dishes, a leash and a collar, etc. In other words, it's absolutely free.

So why wait any longer if you want to have a pet? We have great dogs and awesome kitties that are all keen in bringing joy into your day to day life, and they need your help.

You can call me anytime if you'd like to meet our furry friends.
